RULES: Urgent Questions
Urgent Questions are questions the Speaker of the House can order a Minister of the Crown to come to Parliament and answer. Mr Bercow is very fond of them as a way to hold politicians to account. This round we shall be instituting an Urgent Question mechanic whereby Ministers can be called by the Speaker (with a request by MPs or of his own volition) to answer for their comments, policies, or announcements. If there's something in the news about a hospital closure you can call for a UQ debate, it there's a big disaster abroad you can call for the Foreign Secretary, and so on and so forth. UQ threads shall remain open for 4 irl days, you can only ask questions in them related to the topic being discussed.
