Re: PC 3: Conservative Leadership Race
William Croft asked me to tell the truth about his position and I will gladly comply with it. William Croft capitulated to the anti-pound forces within the parliamentary party and accepted the notion of a referendum on the pound. Dylan Macmillan is sneaking his anti-pound agenda from back while William Croft gets fooled by the clowns proposing it. Euro was dead as it is, Labour dropped it but now William Croft is handing Euromaniacs a kiss of life. A vote for William Croft might be a vote for the Euro and I am strongly urging Conservative membership to consider that when they are voting.

Re: PC 3: Conservative Leadership Race
It is unconscionable that a member of the Conservative and Unionist Party should seek to repatriate immigrants simply because they do not come from here. Aside from the moral implications of stealing a major policy platform from the National Front and British National Party the policy itself does not stand up to scrutiny. What Cosette is suggesting is that we take immigrants, the vast majority of whom are employed and contributing to society, and pay them to go "home". Why would any party leader or Prime Minister decide to take contributing members of society, taxpayers, families, and neighbours and tell them to go away if it were not about race? How would Cosette police the policy to prevent re-entry? How would this stack up against European Law preventing us from treating European citizens differently from our own? Will she pay Scots to go back to Scotland? This is an ill thought out, racist, and morally bankrupt policy proposal that cannot be taken seriously by any credible political party, least of all the natural party of Government which Cosette is trying to make a case to lead. I urge all members of the Conservative Party to reject entryism and racism during this leadership election.

Re: PC 3: Conservative Leadership Race
Cosette Beauvais-Becker claims that she is a friend of all immigrants, arguing that she is treating them fairly and that she only wants to help them. Wrong. With her morally bankrupt repatriation policy, she is stirring up hatred against immigrants and making the vast majority of immigrants who live here and contribute to society needlessly fear for their place in Britain.
Cosette Beauvais-Becker prides herself on being a “straight shooter” and yet has not shared any detail about how she will implement her morally bankrupt repatriation policy. Vague words may be all that’s needed in Cosette’s world but for someone attacking others for lack of detail, we have seen no proper plan and no proper costing, making her policy ill-thought out as well as grossly offensive.
Cosette Beauvais-Becker says she speaks the truth and yet ignores the truth about William Croft’s position on Europe in a desperate bid to paint herself as the saviour of the Pound. William Croft has already made clear his strong position on defending our currency and once again Cosette ignores how William Croft has done far more in the Conservative Party to protect our pound than she has.
Cosette Beauvais-Becker claims she is the only hope against the Westminster establishment. And yet, at the notion of a nationwide referendum on currency, she suddenly changes tune and says the British people are not qualified to make this choice. For someone who is meant to be in touch with the regular voter, why does she seem to think that the British people won’t see the obvious flaws in the Euro?
I could reel off many more reasons as to why Cosette Beauvais-Becker is ill-suited to be the next Leader of the Conservative Party but the conclusion is simply this - Cosette Beauvais-Becker is just another politician in a hurry for make a name for herself. From morally bankrupt policy through to refusing to trust the British people at the ballot box, Cosette will be a disaster not just for the Conservative Party but for public life as a whole.

Re: PC 3: Conservative Leadership Race
Cosette Becker's rambling and incoherent interviews, her speeches full of falsehoods, and her deluded billboards would almost be comic, if they were not such a danger to our party and to political discourse in this nation. For all her talk of "straight shooting," her target seems to be the back of the Conservative Party's head: a policy-lite platform of electoral suicide focusing on stirring up hatred, strengthening the establishment and spreading hysteric lies about William Croft and the Euro. In doing so, she has alienated half the party and half the country: she does not have the capabilities nor the appeal to be leader.
This matters a lot to me, as the constituency of Eastwood, which I am proud to represent in the House of Commons, is a place that was built by migrants and refugees. Almost half of Scotland's Jewish population are proud to call East Renfrewshire home, many of whom the sons and daughters of people who fled to here, facing persecution in Germany and Eastern Europe during the Second World War. They came here and settled, started families, built businesses and made this community what it is. But Cosette seems to suggest these are the sort of people who we should be paying to go back home. I say to Cosette: come up here and suggest your National Front policy in Eastwood, and we'll see what the "people of Britain" you claim to speak for really think.

Re: PC 3: Conservative Leadership Race
I'm surprised that my opponent is so fearful of the prospect of a referendum on adopting the single currency. I relish the opportunity to make the case to the British people that keeping the pound is of critical importance for our economy, our future, and our national identity as a proud independent nation. The people of the United Kingdom know what is best for this country, and they deserve to have the power to make this decision. As my party's next leader, I will insist the Government give the people a say on the euro, and I will lead the campaign against adopting it.

I hope William Croft disavows rumours of appointing Dylan Macmillan as the Shadow Chancellor, we can not have a self proclaimed “not pro-pound” person as our Shadow Chancellor.

Re: PC 3: Conservative Leadership Race
Immigration is part of what makes our country, and the example set by hardworking immigrants that left their country of origin to work for a better life is in fact thoroughly Conservative. Unlike my opponent, I am not interested in the politics of subtraction, that naively suggests that Britain must downsize its society and its ambitions in order to fulfill a more scaled-down role in the world. I think we should be focused on how we can grow our country, our economy, and our society of opportunity in a way that makes room for all hardworking people that want to positively contribute to our society. Telling hard working people to leave our country, and asking the British taxpayer to subsidize their plane ticket, is not only financially ridiculous but morally bankrupt.
The immigrant experience is one dominated by hard work, a love for family, and a desire to do better for oneself. That, in a nutshell, is Conservatism.

Re: PC 3: Conservative Leadership Race
As I see my colleagues expressing one thing in the press and another behind closed doors of Smith Square, it makes one wonder. I believe this is due to my policy to have zero tolerance for indiscretions, be it financial or moral ones. I have hold my tongue regarding criticism of my colleagues
in many regards but the charges they have raised against me are simply unconscionable. Policy of repatriation is not a racist one, whether you are a citizen of Norway or citizen of Nigeria does not matter within the policy, if one wants to leave Britain, they can with this incentive provided that they will agree to have their opportunity to apply for any sort of long term visa has been revoked. For EU citizens this can not apply due to EU regulations but for rest of the world it can. Now, I never said anyone is not welcome in this country, I am offering incentives to reduce population in this country, it is completely voluntary to take this opportunity or not.

I find it rather disgusting that a Conservative MP is threatening violence against another Conservative MP but I am not afraid, I will be coming to Eastwood and I will be meeting with people of Eastwood, I have no doubts about my safety and the warm welcome I will get.

Re: PC 3: Conservative Leadership Race
I am incredibly happy that William Croft has outlined a bold and broad policy agenda. There are a number of amazing policies that the Conservative party can campaign on and fight for in the next election. I believe that of our candidates only Croft can lead us successfully in the next general election. We need to be looking at ways to tackle climate change, growing our economy, educating the next generation. The Labour party likes to spout on about how the Elites run the conservative party, but Mr. Croft has outlined plans to help education in both the short and long term. It is this both today and future look towards policies why Mr. Croft will make a better Leader of the Conservative party, and why I believe one day he could be Prime Minister.
On his opponent, Mrs. Beauvais-Becker cannot open her mouth without saying something horrible. Even when she tries to sound plain spoken or but a nice little bow on a terrible racist policy. She still puts it in language that the NF and the BNP would be happy to spin it as. It's clear that her flagship policy comes out of a xenophobic and hateful place. Repatriation has no place in the Conservative party and if Cosette Beauvais-Becker wants to keep spouting about population control than like I said before she has no place within this party. The Conservative party needs to modernize and look forward and drop MPs who think it's acceptable to spew hate from the party.
