It is quite clear that the Croft camp do not understand “voluntary” repatriation. Voluntary repatriation does not involve us taking immigrants and sending them home. That would be involuntary. The Croft camp still refer to us as adopting the policies of the BNP and the National Front. We do not. Those parties would happily rid this country of every black man, woman and child regardless of whether they are immigrants or not, simply because of the colour of their skin. The Croft camp need to be careful in their accusations of racism and endorsing the policies of the BNP and the National Front because I’m certain that these parties would also endorse Mr. Croft’s policies to restrict welfare to immigrants and to restrict immigration from the EU.

I do not believe it is a case of being scared of a referendum, it is a strong belief that one is not needed. We can be the party of the pound by refusing to support a referendum on the single currency, but if Labour did introduce one we would be on the side of the pound. It is that simple. We refuse to support a referendum because we believe in the right to our own currency, our own economic policy, and our own sovereignty.

Mr Croft likes to quote Baroness Thatcher on a regular basis. There is absolutely no way she would have held a referendum on a single currency - she would have said no, no, no! - it is a shame that as a female politician, and leader, she has more balls than Mr. Croft

Fred Sackville-Bagg doesn’t seem to understand that encouraging repatriation is encouraging rejection of immigrants. By supporting a policy that justifies throwing money at them and telling them they’re not welcome, he is supporting the historic policies of the BNP and National Front. It is that simple and remains so regardless of whatever incoherent defences he chooses to make of it.

Similarly, Fred Sackville-Bagg doesn’t seem to understand the democratic consent of a policy. By refusing a currency referendum, he is saying that the British people cannot be trusted to reject the Euro at the ballot box. We know from meeting so many voters across the country that the majority of the British public support the pound and would relish the chance to vote against the Euro.

And again, he doesn’t understand William Croft’s position on currency. William Croft’s view is that of Margaret Thatcher - a clear, unequivocal rejection of the Euro and a solid defence of our pound.

As a female politician myself, I find that when someone like Fred Sackville-Bagg talks about who has the biggest balls it means they’ve run out of credible things to say. However, in this instance with Fred, I think he ran out of credible things to say from the very start.
